Natalie Kaempffer's Obituary
Natalie Ajogin Kaempffer passed away peacefully on January 9, 2019 surrounded by the love of her family.
Her parents were Russian immigrants and raised their three girls on a farm in New Jersey. She was so proud of their journey and her heritage. Her love of the Russian Orthodox faith permeated every aspect of her life.
Natalie loved classical music, the ballet, and playing the piano, and she read the local newspaper from cover to cover every single day. She graduated from Rutgers University and taught elementary school for many years. She shared her passion for books, and was often seen surrounded by grandchildren, reading aloud.
She and her husband of 56 years, William, created a beautifully blended family, and she fiercely loved all of her children, Masha, Peg, Bill, Marie and David. She was the perfect Grandmother to her beloved Andrew, Sara, Nick, Ben, Steven, Lillie, Ethan, Walter, Janis, James, Will, Mike, and Christina, and great grandchildren Walter, Autumn, Ray, and Emma.
Natalie was a permanent fixture at school concerts, violin and piano recitals, soccer and lacrosse games, and scouting events. The American Cancer Society Relay for Life was always a highlight of her year, as she ferociously fought breast cancer for 23 years.
Services and burial will be private.
