Dear Heather and Sean:
It was with great sorrow that we learned of your mother’s passing. Forty years ago when we arrived in Rappahannock County we were introduced to a classy, warm, and regal woman known to all as Natalie. Whenever there was a hunt, a hunt event, or a social event, she was always there exhibiting an elegant gracefulness to all she met. She was so kind to give us a copy of a paper she had written in September 1975 on the history of Fletchers Mill so that we would have an appreciation of its uniqueness when it became part of our property. We were especially happy to learn that she had accepted Jesus as her savior perhaps 10 years ago. And imagine our surprise when one afternoon she showed up at our home driving a race car! Such wonderful memories. But her greatest accomplishment of all was bringing the two of you into this world. Through all the ups and downs of life that she, and we all experience, it was her graciousness toward others that we’ll remember the most. God bless you both and please receive our most sincere condolences on your loss.
John, Marijke and Jan Ford
