Nancy Marie Rollins' Obituary
Nancy Marie Rollins, 54, of Fredericksburg, Virginia surrounded by family went home to be with the Lord Friday, June 1, 2012 following a hard fought battle with cancer.
Marie—born on June 5, 1957 at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia—lived in Somerset, Virginia after a childhood of travel during her father’s service in the US Air Force.
Being a creative woman, she possessed many talents including her love for gardening which was evident in the abundance of flowers and trees which surrounded her home. Her passionate love for her children and grandchildren was exemplified through the joy she received with their presence. In any waking hour, one could find Marie singing a tune and bringing about a smile to any face.
Marie is survived by her husband Gerald Wayne Rollins of Orange and her children, Cory Wayne Rollins and his wife Jessica of Locust Grove; her daughters Heather Marie Rollins and Carlos Molina of Los Angeles, CA and LeAnne Michelle Rollins and Justin Littrell of Fredericksburg, VA; her six grandchildren Chase Rollins, Rhys Rollins, Skye Chambers, Jayden Chambers, Arianna Rollins, Levi Molina; her parents James and Nancy McDaniel of Somerset, VA; her siblings: Gail Carroll and her husband Ron of Jefferson City MO, Betty Madison and her husband Marty of Baboursville VA, Jamie Critzer and her husband Keith of Scottsville VA, and Crystal Clore and her husband David of Orange VA; numerous nieces and nephews; special friend Darlene Newton; special cousin Tammy Kluczyk; and countless, irreplaceable friends. Marie touched the hearts and souls of many who had the pleasure of making her acquaintance and becoming close friends.
Marie is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Faith Josephine Chambers; her grandparents James and Fannie Henry and Robert and Ola Clatterbuck.
A memorial service and celebration of Marie’s life will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2012 11:00am at Flat Run Baptist Church, 2736 Germanna HWY, Locust Grove VA 22508. Pastor Alan Acree will officiate the service.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 4, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Flat Run Baptist Church.
