Nancy Elizabeth Maloney's Obituary
Nancy P. Maloney, 68, passed away on January 10, 2020.
She was a graduate of Virginia Tech having obtained her master’s degree and spent most of her life teaching English. She loved the beach, her two boys, and church activities (Book Club, Choir) more than anything.
The last 10 years of her life weren’t easy for her, having none of her immediate family still living other than her two sons. After the passing of her eldest son, Christopher, in May 2019 she was heartbroken. One of her last sentences was that she wanted to be with her mother, and she waved multiple times and smiled at the corner of the ICU waiting room. I believe she saw her family and she is now peacefully resting in heaven with their company.
She was a very smart, gentle hearted and caring woman. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 825 College Avenue in Fredericksburg with the Rev. Bambi Willis officiating.
