Sis. Jaha was a great spiritual person. I will miss her wit and for her phone calls just to check on me. May She Rest in Peace ❤️ 🙏🏾

When I took her to the DMV to renew her ID, the woman at the window ignored her as if she was not there and began to help the person behind us. She said, hey you, down here. I'm here! The woman was taken back but she stood up for herself and got the help she needed. Her tenacity was infectious. Even more was her sarcastic commentary on " stupid" people. I loved her with all my heart. I will miss her fussing at me and giving me great counsel through her wit and stories. She was a teacher par excellent! I will see her again in heaven.

I've known Nailah since I was about six years old (Im almost 45 now). I remember spending the night at her house -- one time, though, I cried and wanted to go home, so she drove me home at about midnight (I only lived down the street). She was also the first person to braid my hair. I was in 5th grade and so excited to get extensions for the first time! She was also there when I was taking out said braids and accidentally cut too high and chopped the front section of my hair off (6th grade). When I was a teenager, I spent the night (and actually stayed the whole night), and I remember she let me get 10 tacos from Taco Bell. She also started an acapella singing group called Sweet Spirit, and my mom was one of the group members. I also loved hearing Nailah sing solos at church (when we all went to St. Peters). There are soooo many more memories I have -- far too many list them all here, but I will never forget them nor her. I love you, Nailah! I know you're reading this from the other side! ❤️
Nailah was such a dear friend and true woman of faith. My favorite memories are singing under her leadership in Sweet Spirit and the care she provided my children when I needed her.

So many fond memories of Nailah and her kindness and devout care for mothers and children. She would give you the clothes off her back if you had none. She coordinated the parenting classes for Stafford County Department of Social Services for many years helping those parents who needed a support, guidance in their parenting skills. Many parents becoming relying on her and later becoming great friends. Nailah was like family to all. I will miss her and all that she did for so many.
Nailah had a heart of gold and many times would deny her own needs trying to help others. I will always remember her as a friend to me and a friend to many others. She is now at rest and at peace with Father in Heaven. I thank God for having had Nailah in my life.
Sincerely with love,
