I have many memories of my mother - Helen Hopkins Brown - and Myrtle. Momma and I would go to Myrtle’s Beauty Shop to get a haircut or a perm. There was always laughter. So sorry for your loss.

I got to know Myrtle after she was already at Dogwood. She was a great friend to my friend Betty Wright. I enjoyed spending special roast beef dinners at Dogwood at the table with Betty and Myrtle. There was always laughter! After Betty could no longer go to the pancake and homemade sausage suppers at Mitchells church, Myrtle always made sure that I was able to buy sausage to go. What a treat! She had all the connections! And then I remember how they all enjoyed the Good Ttimers' lunch expeditions. Myrtle was a gem! I am so sorry for your loss. Jeanne Moon
Myrtle was a good and kind friend to my mother, Ellen Aylor. I have so many memories of Myrtle and my mother together. I can't remember a word that was said during those times, but I remember lots of laughter and kindness. Thank you, Myrtle, for those memories.

Was really sorry to hear about the passing of Mrs. Martin. Our Family has known her for a long time and she was always a very sweet lady. She cut my hair for many years. Her Husband was the Treasurer of the Brandy Station Vol. Fire Dept. for quite a few years and he always would say that she assisted him with this. They both contributed their time to the Fire Dept. and to the community. My thoughts and prayers are with the Family.
