It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our mom, Myrla Anne Martin, age 82, on August 19, 2025. Anne was born on October 1, 1942, to Henry Taylor Updike Sr. and Dora Nethers Updike. Anne grew up in Rappah Read Obituary
I am just seeing this and was very sorry to hear of Anne's passing. She and I became friends under odd circumstances, but she was always a good friend, a softening heart and a wonderful listener. My condolences to her kids and grandkids and all that knew her and loved her.

I had the great privilege of knowing and working with Mrs. Martin as a bus driver for 9 years she knew what she was doing when she assigned bus routes also was great to work with my condolences to her family
I was truly fortunate to know Anne both as a colleague and a friend. Over the years, I was consistently amazed by her dedication and the kindness she showed to everyone around her. She was not only someone I could rely on at work but also a friend who always took the time to listen, and wanted to know what was going on outside of work with my family. We shared so many stories with each other and had many of laughs about them. I will cherish the memories of working with her, and I’m deeply grateful for the privilege of knowing such a remarkable person. My heart goes out to the family during this difficult time.

I have known Ann 40 years. She was one of the smartest women I knew. I told her when she retired it would take 3-4 people to do her job and it did. I truly missed her when she retired. No one could fill her shoes. We had some good times at those end of the year parties. I know you are walking the streets of gold no more suffering. God bless your family and give them peace.
