Myra Kyer passed away August 11,2018 at Greenfield Senior Living of Spotsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Don Kyer. She is survived by Graham and his wife Missy, and Jason and his wife Katie, and her eight grandchildren.
Myra was born in Scotland and came to the United States when she was a late teenager, She was a member of the Salvation Army and attended Bible college. In her later years, she was a schoolteacher at various Christian schools, including Faith Baptist School. She was also the Director of Women’s Ministries for Frontline Fellowship, a mission organization that she helped her husband found.
Myra has maintained many long term friendships, many of whom she called “family”. She loved The Lord wholeheartedly,as well as her Church family at Faith Baptist. She adored her children and grandchildren and has many fond memories of past students. She enjoyed listening to Gospel music, participating in Bible studies, spending time with friends and family and gardening. She will be missed on this earth, but was certainly welcomed into her Eternal home. We are comforted in knowing she is no longer in her failing body, but smiling in perfect Peace.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to Frontline Fellowship to honor the work of their parents. Donations can be sent to Frontline Fellowship, PO Box 21727, Chattanooga, TN 37424 or can be made online at www.frontlinefellowship.org for the Don Kyer Memorial Building or at https://app.etapestry.com/onlineforms/FrontlineFellowshipInc/Onlinedonation.html and select Don Kyer Matching Gift.
