Mongo Harding's Obituary
Mark Mongo Harding, 46, of Fredericksburg was called home to be with his maker long before we were ready to let him go on Sunday, May 11, 2008 at Mary Washington Hospital.
He coached football at EPWSC and Baseball for Dale City Little League. He played first baseman for many years on Dudley Martin Jokers softball team.
Mark was a gentle giant with a heart of gold and was a great husband, father, papaw and coach.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Patricia Harding; two daughters, Jessica Williby and Lisa Harding, both of Fredericksburg; three sons, Darrell Barger of Ft. Hood, Texas, Buddy Barger of Ft. Campbell, Kentucky and Zachary Harding of Fredericksburg; three grandsons, Joey Barger and Woody Dailey, both of Richmond, Kentucky and Dylan Barger of Ft. Hood, Texas; his mother, Thelma Harding of South Point, Ohio; three brothers, Raymond A. Harding of Gainesville, Raymond P. Harding, Jr. of Hollywood, MD and Ted L. Lambert of South Point, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond P. Harding.
The family will welcome friends Thursday, May 15, 2008 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral mass will be held Friday, May 16, 2008 at 10:30 am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark Mullaney officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill.
