Minor Hampton Dodson's Obituary
Minor Hampton Dodson, 68 of Sperryville died Saturday, March 13, 2010 at his residence. He was born May 9, 1941 in Rappahannock County to the late William Alexander and Lizzie Margaret Newcomer Dodson.
Mr. Dodson enjoyed traveling, fishing and watching NASCAR. He was the finest, gentlest, kindest, most honest man you would have ever met and will be missed dearly by those who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Virginia Estep Grigsby Dodson, his son, Timothy Dodson of Culpeper, and six step children, Charles Edward Grigsby of Sperryville, Jerry Lynn Grigsby of Culpeper, Donna Jean Cave of Boston, Lois Ann Thomas of Sperryville, Vincent Swain Grigsby of Amissville and Crystal Renee Grigsby of Portsmouth.
Additional survivors include his siblings, Daniel Dodson of Front Royal, Garland Dodson of Manassas, Mary Jane Hitt of Maryland, Tacie Baldwin of Culpeper, and Lucy Perryman of Jeffersonton, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dora Jenkins.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joel Cress and Rev. Jon Heddleston officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Fellowship Assembly of God, 15 Many Lane, Sperryville, VA 22740.
