Milton John Switzer Jr.'s Obituary
Milton John Switzer, Jr., 78, of Amissville went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at home surrounded by his family. He was born October 28, 1944 in Pennsylvania to the late Eleanor Virginia and Milton John Switzer, Sr.
Milton was a member of the Local Steamfitter’s Union #602. He was a faith filled follower of Jesus and a member of Hope Hill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gloria Switzer; five children, Keith Switzer (Jill), Michael Switzer (Dannielle), Michelle Jarrett (Chevis), Milton John Switzer, III, and Kent Switzer (Ashleigh); grandchildren, Adriana, J., Kylah, Jaeda, Zoey, Anna, and Gage; siblings, Ruth Bower (Norman) and Robert Switzer (Dorothy); and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Milton is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Nevaeh; and one sister, Olive Springfield.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 12, 2023 at Amissville Baptist Church, 776 Viewtown Rd, Amissville, VA 20106 with Pastor John Lines officiating.
Interment will follow immediately at Amissville Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers serving the family will be Travis Dodson, Chris Dodson, Wayne Dodson, Daniel Hitt, David Hitt, and Ronnie Switzer.
