Milton Thomas Smith, Jr.'s Obituary
Milton Thomas Smith, Jr., age 88 passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017. Tom (as he was known by family and friends) was born January 14, 1929 to the late Milton Thomas Smith, Sr. and Carrie Ruth Smith.
He served in the Navy, US Coast Guard, Air Force and Navy Reserves for a total of 28 years of military service. He retired in 1987 from federal service with the Department of the Army at Fort Belvoir, VA.
Tom is survived by his sons, Milton Thomas, III and Stuart Hamilton; his daughter, Caryn Ruth; six grandchildren and many great grandchildren; and the love of his life and companion of more than 35 years, Betty Matchette.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nona Dolores; and daughter, Laura (Laurie) Lynne.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 10, 2017 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with a funeral service starting at 7 p.m.
Interment will be held at Lorraine Park Cemetery in Baltimore, MD.
