Milton McCormick Sheesley's Obituary
Milton McCormick Sheesley, 22, of Amissville died Saturday, November 12, 2016. He was born July 14, 1994 in Johnstown, PA to George and Dianna Curtis Sheesley.
Milton graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Civil Engineering. He was an Eagle Scout with project building fence at Bull Run National Park and was a member of the Order of the Arrow and the Virginia Tech Bass fishing team where he qualified for National Tournament. He played ice hockey for 14 years, the last 4 with the Prince William Panthers. Milton was an avid lacrosse player having played for Middleburg Academy, Culpeper High School and Northern Virginia Community College.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two siblings, Megan D. Sheesley and Derek N. Sheesley, both of Culpeper; and two grandmothers, Virginia Sheesley and Nancy Curtis
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, John D. Sheesley, Jr. and Terry T. Curtis.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Culpeper United Methodist Church, 1233 Oaklawn Drive, Culpeper, VA with Pastor Randy Orndorff officiating.
Interment will be private at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Culpeper United Methodist Church Youth Group Missions, 1233 Oaklawn Drive, Culpeper, VA 22701 &/or Virginia Tech Bass Fishing Team, 750 Drillfield Drive, 220C Patton Hall, Blacksburg, VA 24061.
