Mildred Wilson's Obituary
“Tutti” Mildred Hitt Wilson, 62, of Culpeper died on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the Winchester Medical Center. She was born on September 6, 1947 in Bethesda, MD to the late Amos Dillard and Jean Smith Hitt.
Mrs. Wilson was retired from the Culpeper County Public School system after 31 years of teaching and was the current President of the Retired Teachers Association. She loved her church family at Cedar Run Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. Her devotion and loving nature to her family was admired by all as a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Rev. Ralph G. Wilson, Sr. of Culpeper, three children, Jane W. Chasse of Culpeper, Ann W. Buell of Culpeper and Ralph G. Wilson, Jr. and his wife, Shelley of Draper, VA.
Additional survivors include three brothers, Wayne, “Butch” Leatherman and his wife, Glenda of Pampa, TX, James Dillard Hitt and his wife, Dottie of Culpeper, and Richard Theodore Hitt of Lynchburg, 10 grandchildren, Christianna Sanchez, Cody Williams, Dillon Wilson, Elizabeth Chasse, Ralph “Trey” Wilson,III, Katelynn Wilson, Zachary Wilson, Abbigail Wilson, Dustin Coia, and Wendy Coia, 4 great grandchildren, Ally Sanchez, Andy Morales, Eli Sanchez, and Zoie Garcia, brother-in-law, Joe Mercado, cousin, Russell Palmer and his wife, Lynne and special friends, Marty Jadgman, Jane Bauserman, and Dawn Marie Bache.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen Hitt Mercado and son-in-law, Julian Buell.
