Mildred Thornton's Obituary
Mildred Powell Thornton, 90, went home to Jesus in Blacksburg, VA October 21.
She was born in Sampson County, NC, and lived in Maryland, Florida, Fredericksburg and Blacksburg since 2000 to be near her loving family.
She is the widow of the late George D. Thornton and mother of the late George D. Thornton, Jr.
Surviving family members are: one daughter, Cheryl Prince of Blacksburg, VA. Five grandchildren: Patrick Thornton of Dumfries, VA, Stephanie Thornton of Arlington, VA, Ross Prince of Mars Hill, NC, Melanie Prince of Chattanooga, TN and George Prince of Charlotte, NC.
Visitation at Found and Sons Funeral Home, 10719 Courthouse Rd., Fredericksburg, VA 11 a.m., service at noon Friday, October 30 followed by burial in Quantico National Cemetery.
