Mildred Ruth Kerns' Obituary
Mildred Ruth Kerns, 62, of Spotsylvania, died Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Falls Run Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fredericksburg, VA. She was born March 27, 1961 in Culpeper to the late Dorothy Marie LaBelle and Willie B. Grigsby, Sr.
Mildred was a devoted mother, sister, nana, and wife. She grew up in Culpeper, VA. Mildred enjoyed coloring, listening to her old country music, loved her animals, and talking on the phone with her sister, Maryann, her daughter, and her son.
She is survived by her husband, Tipton Kerns, Sr.; daughter, Tammy Thomas (Charles); son, Clifton Kerns (Veronica); stepsons, Joey Kerns (Dustin), Jeremy Kerns (Amanda); siblings, Maryann McCloud (late Randy), Frances Meredith (David), Patricia Meredith (late Wayne), Bobby Grigsby (Diane), Willie B. Grigsby, Jr.; grandchildren, Jeremy Grigsby, Christian Grigsby, Michael Lohr, Joseph Lohr, Tyler Lohr, Drayden Price; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandparents.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow immediately at Fairview Cemetery.
