Mildred L. Greene's Obituary
Mildred Virginia Lam Greene, age 97, of Manassas, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012.
She was born in Roanoke, Virginia on September 9, 1914, to the late George Andrew Lam and Elizabeth Katherine McDonald Lam. From 1932 to 1934 she attended Radford University where she received her Normal Professional Certificate. She later returned to Radford University and received her B.S. degree in 1970. For many years she taught elementary school in both Clifton Forge and Prince William County. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and Williette Myers Sunday school class.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Bryan Greene; two sons, Carlton Bryan Greene, Jr. and Samuel McDonald Greene.
Survivors include a son, George David Greene; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Teresa Greene; Granddaughter, Rosemary Greene Colby and her husband, Jim and great-granddaughters,
Allison and Emily Colby.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, with viewing one hour prior to service, on Friday, February 3rd at the Grace United Methodist Church, 9750 Wellington Road, Manassas, VA 20110. Found & Sons Lee Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
