Michael Allen Harris, Jr.'s Obituary
Michael Allen Harris, Jr., 26, of Culpeper, VA died Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at Sentara General Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA. He was born July 20, 1983 in Manassas, VA to Michael and Jacqueline Harris of Culpeper, VA.
Michael was a 2002 graduate of Culpeper County High School. He was an avid sportsman who loved hunting, fishing and living at the beach with his two dogs, Mary Jane and Capone. Growing up he was known as Little Mike to his aunts and uncles. To his friends he was Big Mike, but to his sisters he was Mikey and always will be. Michael was a loving son, brother and dear friend to all that knew him.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Michelle Harris of Culpeper, VA and Heather Mills of Harrisonburg, VA, his aunts and uncles, Carrie Harris and Cecil “Buck” Harris of Culpeper, VA, E.J. Mills, Jr. and Cathy Mills of Leon, VA, Betty Jo and John Chumley of Reva, VA, Judy and Jimmy Miller of Culpeper, VA, Patricia and Doug Campbell of Fairfax, VA, and Linda and Heinz Effenberger of Germany.
Additional survivors include his cousins, Johnny Chumley, Krystle Jenkins, Travis Mills, Keary Mills, Brandi Rector, Jamie Miller and Fred Jenkins, all of Culpeper,VA, Parisa and P.J. Parsaie of California and Effron Effenberger of Germany.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Egbert J. and Mary Ellen Mills, James O. and Elizabeth S. Harris, and Uncle Terry Harris.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 3, 2009 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Marshall Braylo officiating.
A private ceremony will be held at a later date for the family to spread his ashes at sea.
