Michael Alan Sapp's Obituary
Michael Alan Sapp, 71, of Stafford County, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 1, 2022.
Before Mike’s retirement in 2019, he was a Computerized Forwarding Specialist with the United States Post Office, where he became a skilled leader in his field. Mike had a strong faith in the Lord and lived his life in loving integrity with his values.
Mike proudly served in the United States Army and fought in Viet Nam.
Mike was survived by his sister, Mary Phelan of Locust Grove; his stepsons, Sean Gildea, of Danville, and Timothy Gildea, of Stafford; 12 nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Warner Gildea Sapp; his parents, Elbert Paul and Helen Sapp; a sister, Diana Henry; and his brothers, Douglas Sapp and Paul Sapp.
Mike’s family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, where a funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery.
