Michael Lee Medley's Obituary
Michael Lee Medley, 55, of Fredericksburg, Virginia passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg, Virginia.
Michael was born in Pasadena, California on April 6, 1963 to the late, Douglas Ray Medley and Dorothy Lorraine Medley.
Mike was a veteran of the United States Navy and upon his discharge in 1986 remained in the Norfolk, Virginia area working as a private contractor. He relocated to Fredericksburg in 2001 where he lived until his death. Mike was a fan of the New Orleans Saints, the Cincinnati Reds and old western movies. He loved coaching his sons’ sports teams and spending time with family and friends.
Mike is survived by his sons, T.J. Medley, Cody A. Medley, and Shane M. Medley; his step daughter, Elizabeth Herbert; his brother, Donald L. Medley (Patricia); his maternal aunt, Mary Finelli (Richard); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. Interment will be in Quantico National Cemetery with a private ceremony.
