Michael Anthony Lacy's Obituary
Michael Anthony Lacy, 63, of Alexandria, died Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Capital Caring Health Adler Center in Aldie, VA. He was born on January 24, 1959 in Albemarle County to Frances Lacy and the late Robert Lacy.
Michael was a veteran of the Army National Guard. He worked several different jobs throughout his life, including landscaper, laborer, and cook. He joined and was baptized at an early age at Shiloh Baptist Church in Brandy Station. Michael enjoyed watching the Redskins, and was known for his “classy” dressing style. He had a lot of sayings, one of them being, “If you don’t get it, you don’t get it.”
Michael is survived by his mother; two children, Stacee Lacy and Cory Lacy; the mother of his children, Sedalia Lacy; two siblings, Glenn Lacy (Colette) and Gwendolyn Bryant; five aunts, Barbara Jean Brown, Shirley Robinson, Elizabeth Davis, Mary Jane Cottoms, and Constance Gaskins; one uncle, Arthur Brown, Jr. (Elizabeth); one niece, Janeice Lacy; two nephews, Jonathan Lacy (Nichole) and Timothy Lacy, Jr.; and a host of cousins, and other relatives and friends.
A service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Rev. Paul Sheppard officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Memorial Gardens, Springs Rd., Jeffersonton, VA with military honors provided by VFW Post 2524.
