Michael Wade Gray's Obituary
Michael Wade Gray, 68 of Spotsylvania County left for his heavenly home October 12, 2020.
Michael lived a life of service to God, his family, and the citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Michael retired from the Virginia Dept. of Emergency Management and was a life member of the Spotsylvania Volunteer Fire Dept.
Along with his passion for emergency services, Michael also had a deep love for high school football especially Spotsylvania High School where he was simply known as ‘doc’ volunteering many years as athletic trainer for the football team.
Michael is survived by his sister, Sharon; brother, Steve; his three children Elizabeth Lamonds and her husband, Melvin, Michael Gray II and Whitney Gray; numerous grandchildren; and grand puppies.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Mary Gray; his wife, Patricia; daughter, Stephanie; and brother, Patrick.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 26, 2020 at Spotsylvania Fire & Rescue Company 4, 4804 Bancroft Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22407.
