Michael K. Fisher's Obituary
Michael "Mike" K. Fisher, 60, died peacefully at his home in Spotsylvania, VA on November 23, 2016 with his family by his side after a battle with brain cancer.
Mike was born on August 25, 1956 in Stafford, Connecticut where he spent the first 37 years of his life. In 1993 he moved with his family to Meredith, NH and then moved with his wife to Virginia this past summer. Mike spent most of his life working in sales and production in the manufacturing field, and was most recently Owner/President of ABM Machining Corp in Alexandria, NH. Mike was described as having a big heart, big smile, and was always putting his family first. His laid-back personality and great sense of humor had a way of captivating everyone in the room. Mike was an avid guitar player, enjoying all kinds of music, but especially the Blues. During the football season, Mike could be found watching his beloved Washington Redskins. He also loved to golf and spend time with his English springer spaniel, Cooper.
Mike is survived by his wife Barbara of Spotsylvania, VA, whom he spent 19 years with; his daughter and light of his life, Abigail of Concord, NH; brothers James Fisher of Rochester, NH; Joseph (Anne) Fisher of Exeter, NH and Kevin (Debbie) Fisher of Berwick, ME; his mother Arlene P. Levesque and her husband Harold of Tolland, CT; and father Albert J. Fisher, Jr. of Lyman, NH; stepchildren Joseph Little, Jessica Little Balanceau, and Thomas Little; mother-in-law Jean Whynot, brothers and sisters-in-laws John and Alison Whynot, Susan and Todd Russell, Robert and Lisa Whynot, and Donna and Tim Barnes, as well as five step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his fiancé Cynthia Johnson Little in 1994 and sister-in-law Kim Baker Fisher.
A celebration of life is planned for December 18, 2016 at Pitman's Freight Room in Laconia, NH from 11am-2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either woundedwarriorproject.org or StandUp2Cancer.org.
