Michael Dealoe Duerden's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Husband, Dad, and Yang. Michael D. Duerden, 71, departed from this life to his heavenly father on July 8, 2025.
Michael was born October 14, 1953 to Kenneth and Patricia Duerden. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; their two children; along with his siblings, Robert Duerden & Deborah Bullock.
Michael and his wife Bonnie were high school sweet hearts meeting when Bonnie was only in the 9th grade. They built a life together always by each other’s side. In 1975 Michael opened Superior Wholesalers and was a well know car dealer in Fredericksburg and with Manheim Auto Auction. He leaves his legacy and love for cars at Superior Wholesale in the hands of his son Kevin.
Michael was a family man to his core and never went a day without telling his wife, children and grandchildren that he loved and appreciated them. Michael and Bonnie celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June. Michael leaves behind their two children, Kimberly M. Thompson and her husband, Richey and Kevin M. Duerden and his wife, Katie. Michael (Yang) also leaves behind one of his biggest joys in life, his four grandchildren, Blake, Carter, Baylee, and Kinley along with his four great-grandchildren, Braiden, Brynlee, Baylor and Weston.
Michael’s passing leaves a space in each of their hearts that will never be filled on Earth but his family looks forward to seeing him again in Heaven.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. Burial will be private.
