Mettie Elliott
Mettie F. Elliott, 88, formerly of Woodford, VA passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at her home in Albany, GA.
Mettie is survived by her two sons, Albert L. Elliott of Jacksonville, FL and James M. Elliott III of Albany, GA; one daughter, Barbara F. Wood, of Spotsylvania; two sisters, Mary V. Hoyt of Manteo, NC and Evelyn L. Ford of Luray; eleven Grandchildren and sixteen Great Grandchildren.
Mettie was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Elliott Jr.; her daughters, Nancy K. Kolodziej and Florence M. Elliott; two sisters Virginia M. Tabler and Emma N. Craft; and two brothers, Francis T. Garter and Dorsey P. Garter.
The family will receive friends from 7-9pm on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels, 10719 Courthouse Road in Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at 10 am Wednesday March 25, 2009 at the funeral home with the Rev. Ken Graff officiating. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery.
