Meriett Orfa Schoonover's Obituary
Meriett Orfa Schoonover, 86, of Caroline County, passed away Monday, November 11, 2013 at her home.
The most important things in her life were her family, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She always had a smile for a baby. Her faith in God was important to her and she enjoyed spending her free time in prayer.
Meriett is survived by two daughters, Vicky Allen and Kathleen Luttrell and her finance, Jerry Cochran, all of Caroline; two sons, Lynn Charles Schoonover of King George County and Justin Carey Schoonover of Kansas; a brother, Joseph Wolfrom and his wife, Edith of Florida; a sister, Barbara Jean Strawn of New Jersey; 12 grandchildren, Jennifer, Cynthia, Jacqueline, Kacie, Stephanie, Jason, Taylor, Jamie, Keri, Ryan, Katherine and Michael; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 15, 2013 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 825 College Avenue, Fredericksburg. A reception will follow the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, Meriett’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the National Kidney Foundation, Finance Department, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.
