Melissa Boyle Olin's Obituary
Melissa Boyle Olin, beloved spouse of Richard T. Olin and mother of Jonathan, Elizabeth, Timothy, Catherine, and Patrick, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2011 at her home in Manassas. She was born in Memphis, TN to John and Rosceil Boyle, who also had six other children. Her father was a Navy pilot and her mother served as a nurse.
A JMU graduate she met her future husband while teaching at Fred Lynn Middle School in Woodbridge. Married in 1977, the two honeymooned at Jack Lake, Canada and moved to Mexico to begin their life together. Many years later she continued to display loving care and support for her family in assisting her husband with his medical practice, rearing five active children and doting on her sole grandchild. She was also looking forward to the upcoming births of three more grandchildren.
Melissa enjoyed family get-togethers, traveling, reading, and her role as “Mom.” She is fondly remembered for her generosity, love of family, kindness, and her strength of character. She will be dearly missed.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manassas, VA
