Allie, I don't know the words to say to you, Debbie & Kathy, the kids. I am so very sorry, more than words can say. I will always remember your mom always being okay when we made brownies at your house - I think she loved it - all the sleepovers. She was funny and strong and such a character. Today I was shocked to learn of the passing of one of my dearest friends from Bayside State Prison. I met Maureen when I started there in 1983. She was a very good officer and consistently handled her assignment well. We enjoyed many laughs on and off the job. Heaven has just received an angel. Sending my love to the family at this difficult time. The ones we love are never gone they live within our hearts. Rest in peace Maureen until we meet again.

I was so sorry to hear about Maureen's passing. We went to high school together in Millville, New Jersey. I always enjoyed Maureen's vivacity and was happy to get to see her at our 60th reunion last September. May she rest in peace in the arms of our Lord.

Our families have been friends for years. In 1985 I started my correctional career at Bayside after working 15 years in a glass factory. Maureen was an SCO and helped me make this transition. I know personally that Maureen faced many more challenges than I did because she was a woman and a strong woman working in a male dominated field. My deepest condolences to the family of Maureen.
