Matthew B. Sjoberg's Obituary
Matthew B. Sjoberg, 61, of Fredericksburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 with his family by his side.
Matt proudly served in the Air Force as a medic. He was stationed at numerous posts, including Lakenheath in England and Eglin in Florida. Matt earned his degree in Paralegal Studies from Webster University. Throughout his life, he enjoyed photography, singing, acting, and had a deep interest in all things related to technology.
He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Hodges, and her husband, Robyn, his siblings, Cecile Chambers, Bill Sjoberg, Mary Cave, and Chris Sjoberg, two granddaughters, and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving extended family.
Matt was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Michael and John Sjoberg.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name, to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at stjude.org/donate or the American Diabetes Foundation at diabetes.org/donate.
