Matthew L. Bogart Sr.'s Obituary
Matthew Bogart, Sr., 92, formerly of Ringoes, NJ, died peacefully, Sunday, October 10, 2021, at Noble Senior Living, Culpeper, Va. He was born in Titusville, NJ to the late Edwin and Ruth Bogart. He lived in Titusville until moving to Ringoes in 1953.
He retired from General Motors in 1991 after 43 years as a Tool & Die Maker at the Fisher Body plant in Trenton, NJ. He and his wife were active members of the Auburn, Cord, Duesenberg club and traveled the country attending shows. He was a Master Mason for 65 years with the Trenton Cyrus Lodge and served 6 years in the National Guard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Rosalie Bogart, a brother, Edwin Bogart Jr.; and grandson Timothy.
He is survived three sons, Matthew Jr. and wife Cindy, William and wife Nancy, and Winfield Scott; one daughter, Lynn and husband Jamie; four grandchildren, Carly, Ryan, Katelyn and Chase; and two great grandchildren Kyra and Luca.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the ACD Museum, 1600 Wayne St., Auburn, IN 46706.
A private burial will be held in NJ at the Titusville Methodist Cemetery.
