Marye K. Ostwald's Obituary
Marye K. Ostwald, 94, of Fredericksburg passed away Monday, September 12, 2011 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Marye retired from Wall Township, New Jersey in 1975 as a First Grade Teacher. She was a founding member of the Wall Township Public Library where she was a corresponding secretary and was a member of The Woman’s Club of Stuart, Florida.
She was proud to be descendant of Cyriacus Fleischmann, one of the founders of the second Germanna Colony.
Marye is survived by a daughter, Carol Kramer of Fredericksburg; three grandchildren, Jennifer Dodge, Michael Wellman and his wife, Nikole and Nicholas Kramer and his wife, Carrie, all of Fredericksburg; seven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Adelaide Kiser; her husband, Charles C. Ostwald and her son, Charles William Ostwald.
Marye’s family will receive friends Saturday, September 17, 2011 from 10:00-11:00am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg with a funeral service following at 11:00am. Burial will be in November in All Saints Episcopal Church Cemetery, Jensen Beach, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, Marye’s family suggests honoring her memory by reading a book to a child or donating to your local library.
