Mary Catherine Hartley's Obituary
Mary Catherine Hartley, 76, of Culpeper, died Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born August 27, 1931 in Rixeyville to the late Woody Wayman Sheads and the late Annie Beulah Sheads.
Mrs. Hartley was a member of Oak Shade Methodist Church and attended Jefferson Methodist Church and Woodland Methodist Church. She particularly enjoyed baby sitting and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two sons, Troy and Enoch Hartley, and four grandchildren, Erin Stokes and Christopher, Angela and Josh Hartley. Additional survivors include two great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Zachary Stokes, a brother, Woody Sheads, and his wife, Myrtle, of Rixeyville, a sister, Emma Humphries of Crozet, Virginia, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Troy Cecil Hartley.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Virginia.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 2 p.m. in the Found and Sons chapel.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Enoch, Troy, Christopher and Josh Hartley and Rodney Cave.
