Mary Catherine Burgess' Obituary
Mary Catherine Burgess, 90, of Leesburg died Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Loudoun Nursing and Rehab. She was born January 31, 1919 in Rappahannock County to the late Thomas Lee Brown and Lilly Mae Corbin Brown.
She is survived by two sons, Alvin B. Burgess of Purcellville and Charles L. Burgess of Orange, and five siblings, William “Buck” Brown, Thomas C. Brown, Ida Mae Shaw, Margaret Burgess and Ruth Lee Hicks.
Additional survivors include four grandchildren, Michael B. Burgess, Kathi M. Rose, Dana Burgess and Stephanie Lussier, and four great grandchildren, Seth Rose, Spencer Rose, Michael Lussier and Briann Lussier.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Bennett Burgess, her brother, Ernest Brown, and her sister, Ruby Frances Bain.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 4, 2009 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel.
Interment will follow in the Brown Cemetery on Hoover Rd.
