Maryanna H. Meade's Obituary
Maryanna H. Meade, 98, of Fredericksburg passed away Friday, April 20, 2018 at Hughes Home.
Maryanna grew up during the depression, youngest of three children. She made her career as a nurse; and during World War II she built airplanes for the war effort. Maryanna enjoyed cookouts, socializing, and was proud of her family and friends.
Maryanna is survived by her daughter, Sharon Wilson (Lyell) of Spotsylvania County; son, Gary L. Meade (Mabel) of Taiwan; and granddaughter, Annette F. Wilson (fiancé, Josh Carson) of Ruther Glen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Buzz” Meade; her parents, Lenora and Harry Harris, Sr.; and two brothers, Walter and Charles Harris.
Maryanna’s family are grateful to everyone at Hughes Home for their love and care during her final years.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2018 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. Her family will receive friends one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, Maryanna’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Red Cross, P.O. Box 37839, Boone, IA 50037-0839.
