Mary Anna Atkins' Obituary
Mary Atkins, 81, of Rappahannock departed this life on Sunday, February 15, 2009. She was born on May 10, 1927 in Sperryville to the late Connor and Mary Sisk Jenkins.
She was united in holy matrimony to Roy R. Atkins, Sr. on April 14, 1945. This union produced four children - two daughters and two sons. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Roy Sr., her sons, Roy Jr. and Roger Atkins, her daughter, Beverly Atkins, and one grandson, Todd Atkins; one sister, Maude Racer and one brother, Richard Jenkins and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Ann Atkins and three brothers George, Frank, and Nelson Jenkins.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Sandy Martin and Rev. Phil Bailey officiating.
Interment will follow in Washington Masonic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Levi Atkins, Jr., Thomas Brown, Darren Dodson, Bobby Foster, Charles Franklin, Edward Jenkins, Greg Jenkins, and Jonas Jenkins. Honorary Pallbearers will be Isaac Atkins, Jr. and Lynn Atkins.
