Mary Lee Wise's Obituary
Mary Lee Nibblins Wise, 83, of Culpeper, died Thursday, December 26, 2019 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital. She was born on March 13, 1936, to the late Harrison Nibblins, Sr. and Landonia Parker Nibblins.
Ms. Wise returned home to Culpeper in 1996 after being a resident of White Plain, NY for many years. She was employed by the Weiss Corporation for thirty years. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Antioch Baptist Church of Culpeper and was a member of the missionary ministry and the senior ministry.
Mrs. Wise is survived by seven sisters and three brother in laws; Josephine Pogue of Philadelphia, PA, Landonia Bannister, Rosie Mallory (Jerome), Katherine Nibblins, Ida Nibblins, all of Culpeper, VA, Georgia Evans (Julian) and Deloris James (Edward) of Manassas, VA, and one brother; Walter Nibblins of Culpeper; one sister in law, Mary Nibblins. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by five sisters; Bernice Davis (James), Dorothy Smith (Lewis), Martha Lambert (Bing), Lucy Nibblins, and Edna Nibblins, three brothers; Charlie Nibblins, Robert Nibblins (Barbara), and Harrison Nibblins, Jr. She is also preceded in death by three brother in laws; Raymond Pogue, Russell Bannister, and Edwin Walker.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 12:00 pm at Antioch Baptist Church, 202 South West Street, Culpeper, VA, with Rev. Wayne Robinson providing the eulogy and Minister Judy Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, 822 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
