Mary Louise Tillman Curry's Obituary
Mary L. Tillman Curry, 81, of Fredericksburg, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at her home.
Mary was born on September 19, 1944 in Cheraw, South Carolina to the late, Flonnie and Edward Johnson, Sr. She attended public schools in Chesterfield County.
Mary worked at Stanton Quilting for more than 25 years until her health started to fail. She was a beautiful soul in and out and would help anyone she could. Mary joined PeeDee's Baptist Church at a young age and later joined Robinson AME Zion Church where Mary met Thomas Willam Tillman, Sr. in October 1962, out of that love came four children.
Mary is survived by three children, Sharon (Alexander), Terry (Tammy), and Thomas (Bernita); her grandchildren, Stacy, Ashley, Tamika, Ronne, Terrell, Tayshawn, Brianna, Tj, Sha’Arrian, and Arrian; and many more great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jessie Roosevelt, Edward Jr., and Eugene Johnson; sister, Oliva Howard; husbands, Tomas William Tillman, and Chalmers Curry, Sr.; husbands, Thomas William Tillman and Chalmers Curry, Sr.; grandson, Arrian Tony Teal; and daughter, Sara Louise Reid.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 31, 2025 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg.
