Mary Jean Simpson's Obituary
Mary Jean Simpson, a native of Alexandria and longtime resident of Colonial Beach, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Mary Washington Hospital from pneumonia.
She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Tindall (Tom) of Montross, and Kim Weston (David) of King George County; her grandchildren, Raymond Roberts, Casey Roberts, Patrick Weston, Kari Harmeling, Jackie Hodges and David Weston, Jr.; and six great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her beloved twin sister, Margaret West of Colonial Beach; and brother, Ashby Owen of Alexandria.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Capt. Edward B. Simpson, of the Alexandria Fire Dept.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Colonial Beach United Methodist Church, 1 Washington Avenue, Colonial Beach.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Colonial Beach United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 189, Colonial Beach, VA 22443.
