Mary Lee Shifflett's Obituary
Mary Lee Shifflett, 85, of Culpeper, died Monday, February 6, 2023 at Autumn Care of Madison. She was born January 23, 1938 in Fauquier County to the late Irvin and Molly Jenkins.
Mary was a member of the Salem Fire House Auxiliary. She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening. She also liked fishing, playing bingo and listening to music.
Mary is survived by her son, Randy Shifflett (Liz); one grandson, Justin Shifflett (Jennifer); two great grandsons, Jonah Shifflett and Micah Lacy; two brothers, Bobby Jenkins (Madeline) and Billy Jenkins; and three sisters, Doris Myers, Judy Fincham, and Nancy Gear (Turner).
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Irvin G. Jenkins, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Fairview Cemetery, Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Pastor Glenn Shifflett officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mary’s name to the Salem Fire Dept at P.O. Box 1254, Culpeper, VA 22701, or Brandy Station Fire Dept at PO Box 19, Brandy Station, VA 22714.
