Mary Frances Perry's Obituary
Mary Frances Perry, 75, of Spotsylvania County, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born in 1942 in Albermarle County to Jack and Gladys Meadows, the youngest of their 12 children.
Mary will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who made family traditions an important part of their lives, which they will carry on. She was an avid softball player, who always played to win. Mary loved animals and adopted every one she could find. She was also a longtime member of Massaponax Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Robert Dale Perry and his wife, Tammy, of Stafford County, Kristal Lynn Perry and her husband, Calvin Tyler, of Caroline County, and Patrick Scott Perry and his wife, Lisa, of Spotsylvania; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous other loving extended family.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Hunter Perry.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 6, 2017 at Laurel Hill Memorial Park, 10127 Plank Rd, Spotsylvania.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Perry, Zachary Perry, Richard Kersey, Brian Skinner, Calvin Tyler, and Gary Garrett.
In lieu of flowers, Mary’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the SPCA of Fredericksburg, 10819 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22408.
