Mary Elizabeth Mastin's Obituary
Mary Elizabeth Mastin, 71, of Spotsylvania County passed away Thursday May 15, 2014 at Mary Washington Hospital.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Henry Mastin; two sons, John and Kenneth Mastin; a daughter, Elizabeth Vickers (Tom); a sister, Lillian Sullivan, all of Spotsylvania; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by a son, Kevin Mastin; her parents, Euell and Lillie Baxter; three brothers, Walter, Jessie and Robert Baxter; a sister, Phyllis Curtis and her daughter-in-law, Kay Mastin.
Mary’s family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday May 19, 2014 at Mine Road Baptist Church, 11111 Post Oak Road, Spotsylvania, with the Rev. Ray Farrow and Pastor James Eure officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Calvin Snow, Bobby Oaks, Leo Wallace, Danny Williams, Ken Stanley, Tom Vickers; honorary pallbearers will be David Mastin, Tony Mastin, Dennis Mastin, Josh Vickers, Thomas Vickers, and Lewis Curtis, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, Mary’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations in her name to the Spotsylvania Volunteer Rescue Squad Memorial Fund, P.O Box 101, Spotsylvania, VA 22553.
