Mary Louise Leake's Obituary
Mary Louise Leake, 74 of Culpeper went home to be with her Lord, Saturday, November 25, 2023 at her residence. She was born December 27, 1948 in Richardsville, VA to Archie Thomas Brooks, Sr., and June Elizabeth Pearce Brooks.
Mary was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She enjoyed putting puzzles together, watching Hallmark movies and westerns, and eating at Wood Grill and Country Cooking. Most of all, she loved her family and spending time with them.
She is survived by her daughter, Liz Bailey (Gene); son, Woody Leake III, (Heide); siblings, Tommy Brooks, Janet Settle Burke, Billy Brooks, Ginny Brown, Esther Guimond, and Sis Jackson; four grandchildren, Brandon, Jacob, and Makayla Bailey and Izzy Welch. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Woodrow “Woody” Wilson Leake Jr.; brothers, Charles Brooks, Buck Brooks, and Milton Kaufman.
A memorial service will be on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike Culpeper, VA with Pastor Dale Freeman officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 11am to 1pm.
