Mary Elizabeth Knott's Obituary
Mary Elizabeth “Boo” Knott, 80, of Spotsylvania County passed away Monday, January 2, 2017.
Mary loved her family, adored animals, and enjoyed working outdoors in her garden. She was a long time caregiver working in nursing homes and in private residences.
Mary is survived by her nieces and nephews, Roger Lee Gallahan, Charles L. Gallahan, Joyce M. Gray (Billy), Patricia M. Weedon, and Robert W. Gallahan (Joy), all of Spotsylvania, Barbara A. Traylor (Al) of Fredericksburg, Sandra F. Carneal of Stafford County, and Wayne Newton (Alice) of Maryland; her special dog, Baby; and numerous other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Hoover Knott.
Mary’s family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. The funeral service will begin at noon. Interment will follow in New Hope United Methodist Church, 164 New Hope Church Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22405.
