Mary Joan (Brakowiecki) Frye's Obituary
Mary Joan (Brakowiecki) Frye, 59, of Culpeper, VA, went to be with Our Lord on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
Joan was a beloved wife, daughter, mother, and grandmother. She was a former volunteer firefighter and later enjoyed a long and wonderful career at A.G. Richardson Elementary where she was universally adored. To know Joannie was to be her friend.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bill; son, William (Elisabeth); daughter, Sarah; grandchildren, Oriana, Finn, and Felix; parents, Laurence and Jean Brakowiecki; brother, Joseph Brakowiecki (Julie) and their daughters, Lauren Lubbers (Alex), Sophia, Rachel, and Kacie. Joan was also a treasured great aunt to Coulter, Wyatt, Willow, and Emelia.
The family will receive family and friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 20, 2023 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Precious Blood Catholic Church, 114 E. Edmonton St., Culpeper, VA 22701.
Please join the family for a small reception following the funeral service for light refreshments in the parish hall.
