Mary Jane Dodson's Obituary
Mary Jane Dodson, 85, of Spring Grove, PA formerly of Culpeper, died January, 28, 2021. She was born December 9, 1935 in Castleton, VA to the late William A. and Lizzie Newcomer Dodson.
She is survived by her son, William L. Hitt of York, PA; her brother, Dan Dodson; five grandchildren, Carlee Mertz, William Hitt, Jr. (Pam), Jessica Howard (Dave), Kaitlyn Hitt, and Brittney Hitt; six great-grandchildren, James Hitt (Kristina), Kristina Hitt (Stephen), April Hitt (Derrick), Madeline Howard, Mikayla Mertz and Mariah Mertz; two great-great-grandchildren, Kylie Hitt and Eli Hitt.
Mrs. Dodson is preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Catherine Hitt and four siblings, Garland Dodson, Miner H. Dodson, Tacie Baldwin, and Dora Jenkins.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 2 pm at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Ron Young officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Ann B. Barshinger Hospice Center, 235 St. Charles Way, Suite 250, York, PA 17402.
