Mary Lee Dempsey's Obituary
Mary Lee Dempsey, 83, of Elkwood, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. She was born September 15, 1927 in Alabama to the late Arthur Lee and Mildred Kilburn Foust.
Mary is survived by four of her children; Kenny Dempsey of Brandy Station, Diane Hooks and her husband, Bobby of Remington, James Dempsey, Sr. of Elkwood and Jenny Fewell and her husband, Mike of Flint Hill, eleven grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Mary is also survived by two sisters, Barbara Whortman and Nancy Herndon and two brothers, Ronnie and James Foust, and a daughter -in-law, Elizabeth Alice Dempsey.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Leon Dempsey, two children, Edward Leon Dempsey, Jr. and Robert Lee Dempsey, two siblings, Linda Floyd and George Foust and one grandchild, Lori Lynn Dempsey.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 10, 2011 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 11, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with officiating.
Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery.
