Mary “Virginia” Bowen Deal
Mary “Virginia” Bowen Deal, 80, of Culpeper died Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. She was born July 8, 1930 in Culpeper to the late Eugene and Mary Yowell Bowen.
Mrs. Deal was born and raised in Culpeper and was a lifetime member of Woodlawn Methodist Church as well as a member of the V.F.W. Women’s Auxiliary.
She is survived by one son, Kenny M. Deal of Fredericksburg, one daughter, Patsy Trotter of Fredericksburg, four brothers, George Bowen of Middletown, VA, James W. Bowen of Falls Church, VA, Cecil Seabaugh of Winchester, VA, and Harvey D. Bowen of Winchester, VA, one sister, Nancy Franklin of Langley, OK, and one aunt, Myrtle Leake of Culpeper, VA.
Additional survivors include two grandsons, Tony Davis of Culpeper, VA and Kevin Davis of Georgia, five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Deal, and two brothers, Dallas Bowen and William Spicer.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 17, 2011 from 7 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 18, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery with Rev. Sandy Martin officiating.
