Mary Lou Crossman's Obituary
Mary Lou Crossman, 75, of Culpeper passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. She was born October 14, 1937 in Culpeper, the daughter of the late Rufus J. and Laura B. Fletcher Utz.
She is survived by three children, Mary C. Freitas and her husband, Les, L. Kirk Crossman and his wife, Lisa, and W. Jill Lavoie and her husband, Mark. Additional survivors are her four grandchildren, Leslie and Laura Freitas and Hayley and Riley Crossman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Betty Ann Talamantez and her brother, Thomas J. Utz.
She was very proud of her tenure with Culpeper County Public School system and Madison Livestock Market. She was a bus driver for over 40 years and a driver’s education teacher for over 30 years. Her tenure at the livestock market was over 30 years.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 6 to 8 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 11 am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ed Morris officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bill Pearson, David Weakley, Paul Lavoie, Jimmy Lillard, George Hoffman and Jack Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Hamby, Bob Pannozzo and Dr. Lee Cobbs.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Chronic Disease Fund Assistance Program, 6900 North Dallas Parkway, Suite 200, Plano, TX 75024 and or Hospice of the Rapidan, PO Box 1715, Culpeper, VA 22701.
