Martha "Hope" Bowers Dwyer's Obituary
Martha “Hope” Bowers Dwyer, 54, of Elkwood, passed away at her home on Sunday, April 8, 2018. She was born December 7, 1963 in Charlottesville to the late Ashby and Mary Bowers.
Hope enjoyed going to Myrtle Beach every year and playing Bingo. She especially loved her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her husband, William “Billy” P. Dwyer; one son, Richie Bowers; her siblings, Sandra Bowers (Mike), Bonnie Shackelford (Wheatley), and Jeff Bowers (Brenda); 10 nephews, four nieces; and 24 great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Kenneth Wolfrey; her grandparents, George V. and Martha R. Miller, and John and Dorothy Bowers; and two nephews.
The family will hold a memorial service on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 2 p.m. at First Century Baptist Church, 19111 Batna Rd., Culpeper, VA with Pastor Lee Brown officiating.
