Mark Edward Schultz's Obituary
Mark Edward Schultz, 61, of Spotsylvania, passed away at his home on Thursday, October 5, 2017. Mark was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Mark enjoyed spending time in many ways. He had a huge love of music and enjoyed listening to many different groups as well as playing his guitar. He also enjoyed working with his hands and after retirement from General Motors where he worked as a machine mechanic he started a small business making handmade picnic tables and corn hole games that he sold locally. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and patriotic American.
Mark leaves behind his wife of 27 years Leticia “Teecie” Schultz; two sons, Dylan Schultz of Spotsylvania and Joe Burns of New York; and his mother Laura Schultz of New York. He also leaves behind six siblings, Doug Schultz (Vicki) of Indiana, Terry Schultz (Sue) of North Carolina, Susan Hoag (Michael), Shari DeTar (Joe), and Steve Schultz (Laura), and Shellie Shellenburger (Brad) all of New York. Mark is also survived by his mother-in-law Sharon Jacobs of King George; two grandsons, Jacob Turnbull and Kingsten Turnbull of Spotsylvania, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other family members and friends.
Mark is preceded in death by a son Keith Turnbull, his father, Arthur Schultz, and his father-in-law, Tommy Jacobs.
Mark’s family will receive friends starting at 1 pm on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Services, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, VA, 22407, with a memorial service to start at 2 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Mark’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of charitable donations in his name to The Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
